End of Mixed Season Update
A number of delayed matches due to weather extended the mixed season later than expected, so this update comes in a little late with the Mens/Ladies season starting this weekend !
Vikings Mixed A faced Bacchas A twice in a row for the final match of the league season and also the Cup final, unfortunately they faced defeat both times, losing 3-1 in the league on the 23rd November and then a narrow 4-3 defeat in the Cup Final which gives Bacchas Mixed A the League and Cup double this season.
Our Mixed B team finished 5th overall in the Premier table after the league split, finishing with a 3-1 defeat of their closest rivals in the table, Harlequins A.
A great performance throughout the season from our Mixed B team and showing lots of promise for next season !
The C team finished in 5th in Division 1 in what was a very competitive league this year after a 2-0 defeat to Ramsey A in their last match of the season, Castletown Southerners taking the league title ahead of Valkyrs C this year.
With the C team finishing just above the D team in the table, this resigns the Mixed D to relegation down to Division 2 next season, they will be hoping to bounce back to Division 1 after the next mixed season.
Two narrow defeats in the last two matches allowed Cosney and Bacchas D to finish ahead of the Mixed E team in Division 3 this season. However, a good season for our E team with many younger players coming through the ranks and showing great promise.
Finally our U15s team finished in 5th overall at the end of the season, a great testament to the hard work put in as the season went on especially with so many new players coming into the team this season and lots of younger players stepping up from U12s.
No titles unfortunately for any of the Mixed teams this season, but the club is showing great promise with lots of new players and the steady improvement of many junior players coming through the ranks.
Thanks to all captains, coaches, players and parents this mixed season 🙂
