March 2025 Update
Another month gone and the season is quickly coming to a close this weekend, over the last month we had a mixed bag of results.
The Ladies A with 2 wins, a draw and a loss in March.
Losing to Castletown A 4-1, a close 3-2 win over Bacchas A and a comfortable 5-1 win over Ramsey A and they finished the month with a 0-0 draw with Valkyrs A.
The Ladies sit 3rd in the Premier division with a final match against Harlequins A, where a win could move the into second place in the table if Valkyrs don’t manage to win.

Ladies B managed 2 wins but suffered three losses through March.
Bacchas B with a 3-1 win over Vikings in the Cup, after Vikings had looked odds on for a draw until the final 10 mins of the match allowing Bacchas to hit twice.
Then a close 3-2 win over Castletown D, a big 4-0 loss to Bacchas B and a great 2-1 win over Valkyrs B, but ending the month with a heavy 6-0 defeat to league leaders Castletown B.
The Ladies B sit 4th in the table well above both Castletown C & D and are likely to stay in that position at the end of the season with Bacchas B above them which a much better goal difference.

Ladies C similar to Ladies B managed two wins but had 2 defeats during March.
A close beating of Castletown E was followed by a heavy 8-0 defeat to Bacchas C, and a close late 3-2 loss to Ramsey B but they finished the month stronger with a good 2-1 win over Valkyrs C.
The Ladies C sit 3rd place in the table behind Valkyrs C on goal difference but with Valkyrs C facing top of the table Bacchas C, a win for the Ladies C team could propel them into second in the table if Valkyrs don’t manage to beat Bacchas.

5 matches for the Mens A team throughout March with only a narrow loss to Bacchas A stopping a clean sweep of 5 wins.
The start of the month was a top of the table clash with Bacchas in the Mens Cup in which a single goal decided the match in Bacchas favour.
But comfortable league wins for the rest of the month against Castletown A 5-1, Harlequins A 4-0, Valkyrs A 7-1 and a 6-0 thumping of Valkyrs B to end the month and leave the Mens A team 2 pts adrift of Bacchas A who occupy top spot in the tabe.

The Mens B had a very similar month to the Mens A team with a narrow Mens Plate loss followed by 4 league wins to leave them second in the table behind Bacchas B on goal difference.
A close 2-1 loss to Harlequins B knocked them out of the Mens Plate, but the Mens B team hit back and beat Harlequins 2-0 in the league the following week, this was them followed by a 4-1 win over Bacchas D, a massive 7-1 hammering of Castletown B and a comfortable 4-1 win over Ramsey A.
The Mens B team finish the league with a top of the table clash with Bacchas B knowing that a win will secure them the league title !

The Mens C team had a mixed March with some comfortable wins but unfortunately losing 4-2 to Valkyrs C which allowed them to jump above them in the table.
A 4-0 win over Castletown C at the start of the month, puts them into the Mens Bowl final, but a 4-2 defeat to Valkyrs lost them the league table top spot.
This was followed by a comprehensive 9-1 win over Bacchas Colts and then a title decider against Valkyrs C ended 2-2 with Valkyrs nicking an equaliser at the end to maintain top spot in the table.
Finally the Mens C ended their league campaign with a 6-0 defeat of Castletown C.

The U15s pushed hard throughout March will some good results and a few defeats but always maintaining 100% effort !
The U15s A started March with a 9-2 loss to Valkyrs, a 2-0 win over their fellow U15s B team, a 5-3 loss to Valkyrs, a 4-0 win over Harlequins but finished the month with a 5-1 loss to Bacchas

The U15s B started March with a 9-0 loss to Ramsey, a 2-0 loss over their fellow U15s A team, a 5-3 loss to Valkyrs, a walkover to Castletown Sabres and finally a 6-1 loss to Ramsey again, but the B team are always improving 🙂
